Optimate is a steadily growing digital start-up (spin-off of the high-tech company TRUMPF) from the field of mechanical engineering. After our foundation in 2020, we specialized in the digital optimization of sheet metal parts using artificial intelligence. As a still quite young team, we are looking for someone for whom work is more than just a job and colleagues. Together with you, we want to rethink the design of parts and bring it into the digital age. On the way to the big goal, tasks outside the comfort zone and an individual daily routine are also part of our daily business.

Your tasks

• You take responsibility for the integration of our products into common CAD systems such as Solidworks or Siemens NX.
• In addition, you will support the development of topology and geometry analyses and the fully automated geometry redesign of parts with the help of a 3D kernel.
• You support us in architecture discussions and design decisions for novel algorithms in sheet metal design.
• Despite your specialization in 3D CAD development and CAD integration, you will significantly contribute to and take responsibility for the design and architecture of our distributed systems.

Your profile

• You are familiar with plugins of CAD systems and have already actively worked on an integration into such a system.
• Ideally, you have already gained experience in developing with a 3D kernel such as Parasolid, Spatial 3D Modeller, HOOPS.
• Good knowledge of C++ and C# is an advantage.
• Experience in methods and principles like TDD, DevOps, CI/CD, Pair Programming.
